Managing Director of Global Heritage Persepolis Palaces Complex said on Monday that according to internationally famous tourism organization ‘Tripadvisor’ the complex gained highest votes of tourists in 2014, gaining supremacy certificate of year. Masoud Rezaie-Monfared said that the Trip-advisor is one of the largest tourism organizations in the world that is active in 42 countries around the globe and launches an opinion poll each year throughout the world about the most popular tourism resort, in addition to the most hospitable nation in treatment with foreign tourists.
Rezaie-Monfared said that the organization awards the winners of the two opinion polls with the tourism prizes and certificates of the year, which was both awarded to the Persepolis Palaces Complex and the Iranian nation for the year 2014. The Persepolis Palaces Complex was recognized as the 114th global heritage in the year 1979 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
